Michelle is also available for private consultation for people looking at building or renovating their home and making it increasingly accessible. In a previous business life in 2015, Michelle designed and built a home to the Liveable Housing Australia Gold Level Guidelines. (See the Liveable Housing Australia website here). Her company won the Master Builders Awards for the Wide Bay that year for “Best Home – $500 – 600, 000 category” and “Best Kitchen”. The home also was featured in both the local Bundaberg and Fraser Coast Newspapers due to the Judges amazing interest in the design of the home, a first for the Wide Bay and wider area. Michelle’s motto is ‘liveable housing for lifetime living”. She believes that all homes should be accessible, so that at any point in your life, or whoever is using the home, can do so for the entirety of their lifetime. It is a passion of Michelle’s to make as many homes as accessible as possible for current and future residents.
Michelle has her Accreditation for providing services to the NDIS for Major Home Modifications. In her 15 years of practice, she has been committed to attending ongoing professional development for the best practice of home modification intervention.
